You deserve to love your life

Therapy in Portland, Oregon, for trauma, depression and divorce

Healing happens here.

I don’t know you yet, but I’m willing to bet that you are stronger than you think and have an amazing life ahead of you, once you get through your current struggles. Right now, your challenges might seem overwhelming, but, if you’re here, you understand counseling can help.

How can I say this?

Because I’ve worked with so many people in intense pain, people who just want to get their lives back. Over and over I see remarkable strength in these suffering people.

I know this because I see it over and over with people who are in so much pain they are willing to try something new to get their lives back.

It’s easy to forget how strong you have to be to wake up and face each day when you are suffering. Once people find their way through the pain, they are often amazed at the life they can build.

People come for therapy because they are stuck in their pain. They see a life that they want to live and it feels impossible with the burden they currently carry. They’ve tried to manage it on their own and found they cannot do it without help.

Asking for help is one of the hardest things you can do. And therefore, it’s also one of the bravest things to do.

When you are suffering under the weight of depression – feeling alone, overwhelmed, exhausted and hopeless, know that counseling can help.

If you’re struggling with traumatic events from your past and it seems like you can’t get away from those memories, you feel like you’re living in survival mode all of the time – know that therapy can help.

If you are going through separation/divorce it can be easy to think that there’s no way you could ever recover from this pain and rebuild your life into something amazing. Know that counseling can help.

I know it can seem like there’s no way forward, that’s where I come in. As a therapist, I use the science of emotional change and therapeutic techniques to help you heal so that you can stop suffering and get back to living the life you really want.

You don’t need to have hope right now – I have plenty for both of us. My hope is unshakeable because I’ve seen it happen so many times.
